The Sector 48 Crime Branch of the Faridabad Police has arrested two men in connection with the gang-rape and brutal assault of a 25-year-old woman. The incident occurred between the late hours of December 29 and the early hours of December 30, 2025.
The survivor, a mother of three who lives with her mother was returning from a friend’s house in Sector 23 around midnight. Due to a lack of public transport near Metro Chowk (specifically the Kalyanpuri area), she accepted a lift in a Maruti Suzuki Eeco van.
According to the First Information Report (FIR) filed by the survivor’s sister at the Kotwali police station, the victim was held captive for approximately three hours. The suspects drove the vehicle toward the isolated stretches of the Gurgaon-Faridabad Road. Despite her repeated cries for help, the thick seasonal fog and extreme cold meant her pleas went entirely unheard by any passersby. The isolation of the route, compounded by the weather conditions allowed the suspects to continue their journey undetected.
Furthermore, the situation turned increasingly violent when the survivor attempted to resist the assault. In response to her defiance, the suspects launched a brutal physical attack, causing severe facial and skeletal injuries. Following this violent confrontation, the attackers pushed her out of the moving vehicle at a high speed and fled the scene.
Despite life-threatening injuries, the survivor managed to contact her sister at approximately 3:00 AM. Her family eventually located her near Raja Chowk in SGM Nagar where she was found bleeding continuously.
Initially, survivor was taken to the Badshah Khan Civil Hospital and later moved to a private hospital in Faridabad, where she remains in the ICU. She sustained severe facial and head injuries, including deep cuts that required 12 stitches on her face. Doctors have currently declared her medically unfit to record a formal statement due to extreme trauma and shock.
Police Action
later on, the Faridabad Police led by the Sector 48 Crime Branch successfully tracked and arrested the two suspects, residents of Uttar Pradesh within 24 hours. The Maruti Suzuki Eeco used in the crime has been seized. The suspects have been booked under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for gang-rape, criminal intimidation and common intention. A Test Identification Parade (TIP) will be conducted once the survivor is medically stable.
