DELHI — The highly anticipated debut concert of Kanye West—who is now widely known as Ye—in India has been officially postponed. Originally scheduled for March 29, 2026, the concert will now take place on May 23, 2026, at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

The announcement was made by event organizers, who cited prevailing geopolitical conditions and regional tensions as the primary reason for the schedule change. Despite the postponement, organizers confirmed that all previously purchased tickets will remain valid for the new date.
Concert Rescheduled: Key Updates
According to the official update, the concert will now be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at the same venue in New Delhi. Fans who purchased tickets for the original March date will not need to buy new tickets, as their existing passes will be honored.
However, details regarding refund options for those unable to attend the rescheduled date have not yet been confirmed. Organizers stated that more information about refund policies will be shared in the coming weeks.
Organizers Cite Safety Concerns
The event is being organized through a collaboration between White Fox India, Wizcraft International Entertainment, and Plush Entertainment.
In an official statement, the organizers explained the reason behind the decision:
“Due to the prevailing geopolitical situation and regional tensions, the Ye show in New Delhi will now be rescheduled to 23 May 2026. The safety of our fans traveling internationally, as well as that of the artist and the production team, remains our top priority.”
Previously, Aman, founder of White Fox, had emphasized the scale and ambition behind the event, saying:
“We wanted this show to feel monumental—and it is.”
Timing Linked to Upcoming Album “Bully”
The postponement comes just days before the expected release of Ye’s upcoming album Bully, which is scheduled to drop on March 27, 2026.
Industry observers believe the rescheduling may also give organizers additional time to build anticipation around the album and incorporate new music from the project into the concert setlist.
Ye’s First-Ever Concert in India
The upcoming performance will mark the first live music concert in India by Ye. Although the artist has visited India before for fashion-related projects and spiritual retreats, he has never previously performed a full-scale show in the country.
The concert is planned as a large-scale stadium production, expected to fill the 60,000-capacity Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. Fans can expect a high-production experience featuring cinematic visuals, elaborate stage design, and a career-spanning setlist, including hits from the early 2000s alongside newer material.
Ticket Booking Details
Tickets for the concert were initially released through the ticketing platform District by Zomato. The platform confirmed that existing ticket holders will automatically retain their bookings for the new concert date.
Further updates regarding refunds and additional ticket availability are expected to be announced by the organizers soon.
